Four Putt ("we", "us") runs match-play golf leagues for groups of friends at fourputt.golf. This policy explains what personal data we hold and why, in plain English.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and optionally a phone number, profile photo and handicap index.
- League activity — the leagues you belong to, match results, scores, and live-round data you enter.
- Messages — anything you send via the contact form.
- Technical basics — standard server logs (IP address, request time) kept briefly for security and debugging.
We don't run advertising, analytics trackers or third-party cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your own login session.
How we use it
Solely to run the service: signing you in, showing league tables to your league-mates, sending service emails (like password resets), and replying when you contact us. We never sell or share your data for marketing.
Who can see your data
Members of your league can see your name, photo, handicap and results — that's the product. If a league admin makes their table public, the standings (names and points only) are visible at that league's public link. We don't show your email or phone number to anyone.
Where it lives
Data is stored on our server hosted by Hetzner in the EU (Germany). Service emails are delivered by Resend. Those are our only processors.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you leave a league, your past results stay on that league's table. To delete your account and personal data entirely, ask via the contact form and we'll action it promptly.
Your rights
Under UK and EU GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, or object to processing — use the contact form. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the ICO.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll note it here with a new effective date.
